Raymond Karelitz is "Mr. SAT," Hawaii's most popular SAT-Prep motivational instructor.
Author of over 20 SAT-related books, "Coach" Karelitz has helped more than
20,000 students reach their college potential over a 20-year period through his
innovative hands-on "game-plan" approach. Such an approach has earned him a notable
reputation among college athletics departments, which frequently send top athletes
to his classes to meet NCAA eligibility requirements. And to date, not a single
student-athlete has fallen short of meeting the minimums: a stellar track record of 100%!
A recent 1-week program in American Samoa generated such "overnight" improvements
that the NCAA and the College Board took note, as did numerous college football recruiters.
(The impact is evident on this year's UH football roster.)
Raymond Karelitz attended public and private schools in Hawaii, California and
Texas as well as gaining four college degrees during twelve years of study at the
University of Hawaii. His books are carried throughout North America and Asia,
including Hi-Lite Publishing Company
on Oahu, Amazon.com, Barnes & Noble, and other distributors throughout the United States.
His books have been used in over 200 schools throughout the United States, China and Japan.
Mr. Karelitz earned two degrees and his teaching credentials from UH and scored
a perfect 800 on the math portion of the Graduate Record Exam.
"Motivation is the key to success," Mr. SAT says. "Every teen has the potential – all
it takes is positive encouragement and a carefully structured approach to realize it."
And it's evident from his reputation that he's had amazing results: he teaches (actually, he "coaches"!)
classes in over 40 high schools on all the islands and will be releasing 14 new SAT-related books
(including an 8-volume vocabulary-building flashcard series) over the next 3 years.
