The SAT-II are Subject Tests
(e.g. Physics, Biology, History, Mathematics, English, Art, French, Japanese...) that specialize in one field of study. Not all universities require them,
but the more select ones often do.
These are knowledge-based tests that should only be taken by
those proficient in the field. Mathematics and English are usually two of the three required
tests; the third is of the student's choice.
If SAT-II tests are a requirement, be sure to purchase a
College Board publication with sample questions.
It's important to know what types of
questions will be asked -- and equally important to know how to answer
them correctly!
